The Authenticity of the Bible – Is It True?

What evidence exists supporting the authenticity of the Bible? Is it true?

·         Archaeology reveals locations, people, and events that are recorded in the Bible,

·         Ancient manuscript evidence supports  the Bible as the most reliable literature of antiquity,

·         Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled in New Testament Scriptures, sometimes centuries later,

·         Eyewitness accounts and firsthand information from the first century are included in the Bible, and

·         Jesus quotes Scriptures from the Old Testament books and personally selects the disciples and Paul to carry His message to others.

Class members are guided through John 4 and 5 with the help of simple study questions as they read the stories of the Samaritan woman at the well, Jesus healing a lame man, and Jesus telling of His relationship with God.

Through their daily assignments, class members are encouraged to begin a regular time of Bible study as they reinforce what they learned through the lesson. They discover prophecies and their fulfillment as they read the story of Jesus’ birth, they learn about eyewitness and firsthand accounts of Jesus’ ministry, and they read about Noah and the flood as they see how Jesus quotes Scriptures from the Old Testament.
